A leading Labour councillor has organised an awards ceremony to celebrate the amazing work being done by Trafford women.

The Trafford International Women’s Day celebration will take place from 6pm-9pm on Saturday, 9 March at Flixton Girls School.

Cllr Joanne Harding, who has hosted the event for four years, will be joined by Waterloo Road actress Sue Vincent. Sue is no stranger to our screens having starred in dramas, such as, The Madame Blanc Mysteries and Alma’s Not Normal plus Coronations Street and EastEnders.

Cllr Harding said: “Sue is a passionate advocate for women and is really looking forward to joining us.

“I am delighted to once again host this event that celebrates the achievements of many unsung Trafford women.”
